    Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 License

Modern business requires constant communication and collaboration in order to compete. Synthesizing the knowledge, expertise, and abilities of your whole office is the only way to stand above the competition, no matter what area of business you work in.

Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 provides you with all the tools you need to develop high-quality projects, no matter how complex; to find new and powerful solutions lurking within your data; and to get the most out of every employee.

    What Is a SharePoint Server?

The SharePoint Server provides advanced solutions for businesses looking to improve collaboration across the office and need more than the basic SharePoint platform. The features, available remotely and on any device, include ways to share documents and important information through several outlets. Whether that sharing requires a simple link, a vast number of blog posts, or a dedicated location to pool resources for a project, SharePoint Server has all the tools necessary for the job.

    What Is MOLP?

MOLP stands for Microsoft Open License Program, which allows for flexible volume licensing for small and midsize businesses that expect between five and 250 PCs in their network (although more can be accommodated). MOLP allows for significant discounts to be provided, depending on the licenses necessary for the business.

  • Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 Features

Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 includes vast improvements in how users communicate and collaborate. It is now easier than ever to get information to all the right people through changes in the social features and in features like Community Sites and Project Sites, which address particular groups. Search and business intelligence also so major improvements.

Reorganized social featuresMicrosoft SharePoint Server 2013 makes a large number of changes to the entire social side of the server. First of all, My Site has been removed, and it has been replaced by three designated areas that cover the My Site features and more: Newsfeed, OneDrive, and Sites. Some of the more powerful features in these new social tabs include:

    • New microblogs allow you to share information in a format similar to Twitter. You can post links and share video, pictures, and documents; @connect to individuals on the server to notify particular people; include tags in posts that can connect people to the whole conversation on a topic; like posts; and post to team sites or just on the public newsfeed.

    • A more powerful newsfeed gives you more abilities than ever to sort through your newsfeed information. You can sort by what you “follow” (people, documents, sites, and tags), by “everyone”, by “mentions”, by “activities”, and by items you have “liked”.

    • The OneDrive introduction, as mentioned above, allows you to store all your documents in s single location. All documents are initially private until you decide to share them, to make sure you only share what you want shared.

Community Sites for mass communicationWith Community Sites, you no longer need to worry about how to get your message out to everyone in a particular community on the server. Posts reach all members and the whole history is saved, so old posts can be quickly called up. There are also useful features like the built-in search, the ability to rate posts as useful by other members to show which posts are most endorsed by the community at large, and rewards for those who choose to participate.

Add video features to your SharePoint optionsVideos are now far more functional on the SharePoint Server. Each video has its own player page with related documents attached, so if the video is accompanied by Word or PowerPoint documents, those are accessible in the same location. You can also preview videos before opening them and searches that suggest video results (such as using words “talk” or “video” in the search) bring video results to the top.

Project sitesProject sites are an easy way to keep track of what is happening on a particular project. They include a project summary, a visual timeline of tasks, a schedule, a library to store all documents related to the project, a notebook for adding information about the project, a calendar with events related to the project, and the ability to connect to Project Server 2013 client application. If the SharePoint Server is connected to Exchange, a site mailbox can also be used for a unified location for all project-based documents and communications.

New search abilitiesSearch now has phonetic abilities in multiple languages, and results include information about past projects and a contact card for how to contact individuals who show up in results. The results also have a hover feature that allows users to preview information on a result without clicking. Finally, you can also change the focus on the results by changing the predefined search sources from Local SharePoint to something like “recently changed items”.

New business intelligence optionsSharePoint Server 2013 includes a new business Intelligence Center, where you can store your business intelligence content, such as reports, dashboards, data sources, and scorecards. External data can be used through Data providers in Excel, while Excel itself is full of new capabilities that improve navigation, views, and formats. Business intelligence content can also be access on mobile devices, so that the results can be used no matter where the user is.

App for more featuresSharePoint Server 2013 is full of features, but if it still lacks a specific need for your business, you can develop that need yourself, thanks to the new apps abilities. Apps can be developed, installed, and used on the server and elsewhere to address specific needs, while apps developed by others can also be searched for and download from the SharePoint Store.

Analyze external dataAs previews above, Excel 2013 allows you to bring external data onto the server for more analysis. You can also add links to Visio diagrams that lead to external data sources and then share them through the SharePoint document library.
