What’s Different about This Edition?

This edition features Fluent UI and the Ribbon, keeping the intuitive and seamless interactions alive from the previous Microsoft Office version. If you want to edit your font style, you’ll still get font size, color, and stylization options suggested up top in the ribbon. The File menu has returned, now packed with more features. Now you’ll get “Backstage,” a new feature that gives much more options. Once File is selected, you’ll get a full page of options ranging from permissions settings and printing options, to classic commands such as file management (open, save, etc).

The world’s most popular email management software, Outlook, is now fitted with a helpful voicemail to inbox feature that gives users voicemails in MP3 files directly via email. This is great for on-the-go use when you may not be next to your office phone.

Microsoft Word gets a nice screen-grabbing feature, allowing you to capture images on your screen, then paste them straight into a Word document.

Microsoft Excel’s beloved Pivot Tables get more complex functions added, letting users include even more variables in filtering giving more granular and refined results.

All applications will get a more expansive library for templates, shapes, lines, and other design and art tools boosting creativity for all document creation.
