  • Windows Server 2019 Remote Desktop Services Device CAL

Windows Server 2019 Remote Desktop Services Device CAL

With the Remote Desktop Services (RDS), one of the core virtualization technologies available in the Windows Server 2019 Microsoft is the progressing in its vision to provide the best virtualization platform for accelerating as well as extending desktop and application deployments from your data center to any device.

In addition to the traditional, and well known, session virtualization scenario, Remote Desktop Services is expanding its role, as well as its influence, to provide an extensible platform for a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).

Remote Desktop Services allows the users to access applications, data as well as an entire desktop running on a remote computer over a network. The client access device can either be one of two things. The first is a full, rich Windows personal computer, and the second being a thin client (for example a Windows CE device).

The Remote Desktop Services works by allowing individual applications or an entire desktop to run on a server, rather than on the user's workstation. The Remote Desktop Services sends screen images to different users and their user's machine. In turn, it also sends keystrokes and mouse movements back to the server. By doing this, the Remote Desktop Services can allow clients to run applications on desktop environments that they may otherwise not have the hardware or bandwidth to support.

On the server, applications along with desktop environments can either run as shared sessions or in the context of a virtual machine environment (aka virtual desktop infrastructure or VDI).

Microsoft Remote Desktop Services 2019 allows users to connect to a remote PC so that they can have access to their work resources from any device. You will be able to connect to your work PC and access all of your apps, files, along with any other resources you may need. Windows Server Remote Desktop Services allows you to have your office with you at all times.

The Windows Server 2019 Remote Desktop Services dramatically improves your workflow and allows you to work smarter and not harder.

    Customer Feedback and Reviews

Here is what some people are saying about this product:

    I was not dfissapointed
"I held off deploying SCCM at my previous employer so that I could deploy it on Microsoft Windows Server 2019 Standard 16 Core Open License. Must admit I wasn't disappointed. I was very quick to deploy a 2019 IPAM server to allow for automated subnet assignments using the new PowerShell cmdlets. In my home lab I upgraded to 2016 as soon as I could for the additional AD security and ADFS features. Without any doubt, I will always deploy 2016 unless there is something that really will not work with it." - Allison Randall

We use it since the launch
"We use Microsoft Windows Server 2019 Standard 16 Core Open License in production since the launch After 2 years of anxiety, the time has come! At its annual Microsoft Ignite conference on September, Microsoft announced the release and general availability of Microsoft Windows Server 2019 Standard 16 Core Open License. I have been evaluating the product since TP3 and I have to say that the final product it is what I was expecting. Microsoft has invested so much in the SDD stack in this product that will benefit both the on-premise and the cloud ( or hybrid ) customers." - Solomon Sherman

    I like the improvements
"I really like the improvements made in virtualization and container support. It is a bit sad, that the app/store/edge is not included in Microsoft Windows Server 2019 Standard 16 Core Open License due to the LTSB regulation. The chances for using Nano Server in certain fields is great. I have been using Microsoft Windows Server 2019 Standard 16 Core Open License as the base of my hyper-v lab. I am particularly happy with IPAM supporting /32 and the ability to expand DNS functionality." - Mekhi George

What is the Product Key and where can I find it?

A Product Key is the unique 25-character alpha-numeric code that is used to redeem as well as activate the Office product you just purchased. You cannot (you will be restricted) use the product key for any of the older Office product to redeem your new copy of Office.

To locate the Product Key, look for the 25-character alpha-numeric code on the back of the card inside your Office product packaging. Sometimes, if you cannot find it on the back of your card, the Product Key may be printed on your retail receipt. If you purchased Office from a PC manufacturer, your Product Key would be located somewhere in your PC packaging.

The Sample Product Key format: XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX
